Berlin This Week: Oct 30–Nov 5, 2026

Berlin is booking, brunching, laughing, singing, networking and dancing this week. Here is the Key2 Berlin guide for Friday, October 30 to Thursday, November 5, 2026.

1. Romantic Date Night

Romance looks good in Berlin. Start at Grill Royal on Friedrichstraße in Mitte — Berlin's Spree-side steakhouse institution, all contemporary art, dry-aged cuts and a terrace over the river, open for dinner daily from 5 PM. For old Berlin, Borchardt, off Gendarmenmarkt, has been the city's legendary brasserie since 1853: high ceilings, marble columns, oysters and the famous Wiener Schnitzel, daily from 11:30 AM to midnight. Or find the hidden entrance to Cookies Cream on Behrenstraße — the one-Michelin-star vegetarian fine-dining room behind Cookies club, serving a tasting menu built on Brandenburg produce, Tuesday to Saturday evenings.

2. Brunch

Start the day right. Silo Coffee in Friedrichshain is the Australian-run brunch benchmark: Silo toast with poached eggs, avocado and Manchego, oven-baked pancakes and house-roasted specialty coffee. House of Small Wonder brings a greenhouse-like Williamsburg café to Auguststraße in Mitte — homemade biscuit Benedict, croque madame and Japanese-twist brunch among the plants, daily from 9 AM. And Distrikt Coffee on Bergstraße pairs specialty coffee with a full-day breakfast menu of buttermilk pancakes, French toast with blueberry compote and avocado on sourdough.

3. Happy Hours

Smart way to do Berlin. Victoria Bar, the grand cocktail institution on Potsdamer Straße since 2001, runs the clearest happy hour in town: 6–9 PM, and Sundays all evening, every cocktail is €11.50 and non-alcoholic cocktails €7.50. In Prenzlauer Berg, the Wohnzimmer Bar — all sofas and flea-market furniture on Lettestraße — pours every cocktail for €8 in its happy hour. And in Kreuzberg's Bergmannkiez, Limonadier discounts its asterisked drinks to €10.90 — house-made syrups, infusions and its own barrel-matured Bergmann Gin. (Wohnzimmer and Limonadier publish their happy-hour prices without a set window, so check the board when you arrive.)

4. Comedy

Laughs this week. Cosmic Comedy Berlin — the city's longest-running English-language stand-up — stages its Halloween Special at Comedy Club Kookaburra on Saturday, Oct 31: doors 7 PM, free pizza at 8:15 PM, show at 9 PM. At Quatsch Comedy Club on Friedrichstraße, Die Live Show — a host plus four club comedians, line-up rebuilt monthly, in German — plays Friday, Oct 30 at 8 PM and Saturday, Oct 31 at 7 PM. And Prenzlauer Berg's Mad Monkey Room runs Super Premium Comedy aus Gold! on Saturday, Oct 31 at 6 PM: three hand-picked comedians, 15 minutes each, hosted by Alex Upatov.

5. Concerts

Music this week: Joe Bonamassa opens the week at the Uber Arena on Friday, Oct 30 at 8 PM, the same night Nico Santos brings his Arena Tour 2026 to the Max-Schmeling-Halle at 7:30 PM. On Sunday, Nov 1, Jazzfest Berlin closes at Haus der Berliner Festspiele with Alexander von Schlippenbach and the Globe Unity Orchestra — "Apokalyptische Nabelschau", 200+ participants, 60 years after the orchestra's debut. Don Toliver plays the Uber Arena on Monday, Nov 2 at 8 PM, and Deep Purple close the guide week there on Wednesday, Nov 4 at 7:30 PM.

6. Corporate Events

Convention energy: BUCHBERLIN 2026 fills Arena Berlin in Treptow on Oct 31–Nov 1 with 300+ independent publishers and around 80 readings. Berlin Science Week — the Falling Walls Foundation's "In Touch" festival — runs Nov 1–10 at 120+ venues citywide, with around 300 events (the in-week days are Nov 1–5). And Bazaar Berlin, Germany's most international sales fair, opens at Messe Berlin on Nov 4 (to Nov 8; in-week days Nov 4–5), 10 AM–7 PM, with some 500 exhibitors from 60+ countries and the new Mineralis segment.

7. Nightlife

Berlin does not sleep this Halloween weekend. ://about blank hosts LOWKEY STARS on Friday, Oct 30 from 11 PM — up-and-coming local DJs, speedhouse, trance and hard bounce, costumes encouraged, never required. Tresor runs its Klubnacht in the Köpenicker Straße power station on Saturday, Oct 31 from 11 PM. And BCCO Halloween takes over RSO.BERLIN in Schöneweide from Saturday 11:59 PM all the way to Monday 8 AM — a 32-hour marathon.

8. Local News

The dates to know this week: Lichtenberger Winterzeit, Berlin's earliest Christmas fairground, opens Saturday, Oct 31 at Landsberger Allee 300 (to Dec 27). The same day, Winterwelt at Potsdamer Platz opens for the season with its 70-metre winter slide. Berlin Science Week opens citywide on Sunday, Nov 1, the day Jazzfest Berlin closes. Schöneberg's LGBTQIA+ Winterdays opens at Nollendorfplatz on Wednesday, Nov 4 (it becomes Christmas Avenue on Nov 23). And the 37th Berlin Fairy Tale Days — the world's largest fairy-tale festival, themed "The Magic Flute and the Star Harp" — opens Thursday, Nov 5, running to Nov 22.

9. Private Dining

Spotlight on GOLVET, on Potsdamer Straße in Schöneberg. Thirty-two metres over Potsdamer Platz, on the eighth floor of the Loeser & Wolff Haus, the one-Michelin-star penthouse hosts private gatherings and exclusive events against a panorama from the Siegessäule to the Fernsehturm — with a chef's table at the open kitchen and star-rated cooking under chef Nicholas Hahn. (Our researched first choice, Frederick's at Potsdamer Platz, is currently closed until further notice, per the venue itself — we will re-check it for a future week.)

10. Hotel Feature

Hotel of the week: Hotel de Rome (Rocco Forte). Berlin's bank-turned-grand-hotel stands on Bebelplatz: built in 1889 as the headquarters of Dresdner Bank and converted in 2006, it holds 145 rooms and suites, the Italian restaurant CHIARO, a rooftop terrace over Bebelplatz, and the De Rome Spa in the former bank vaults — including a 20-metre pool in what was once the jewellery vault. Five minutes from Museum Island and Gendarmenmarkt.
